DESCRIPTION
Precision Machine Company Wheat Head Thresher (NP3836, Unit 127), unit runs on 115 volt single phase power. The Wheat Head Thresher was designed for plant breeders to thresh wheat and/or other small grains one head at a time. Depending on the grain and the condition of the head, two to six heads can be threshed at once. A Clear plastic column and a transparent housing cover allow the operator to observe threshing action and verify complete clean-out. A flap valve was added to allow the operator to hold difficult to thresh heads in the housing chamber until the threshing is complete. A rubber housing liner is used to minimize seed cracking. This device is also utilized by researchers studying chromosomes, seed diseases, and proteins. Please see video for more information and to see it run.
